Christmas Gift Sets

I love this time of year the weather is getting warmer, its time for parties, Sunday afternoon drinks and its almost time for Christmas! I love the spirit of Christmas, the time spent with family and friends, the decorations, gift buying and the overall festivities.

When it comes to beauty this would be one of my favourite times of the year I love the beauty packs that each brand launch every year. This packs are not only great value for money but there normally the best of there products for the year, in the best packaging but my favourite part is that you can buy the gift sets that are mini's or sample sizes so that you can try without having to buy the full size not knowing wether or not you will like it. I did this last year with the benefit gift pack I loved it ! It was $36.00 and had around 10 to 12 travel size items. I had never used many Benefit products before so this was perfect for me to try and than buy the ones I wanted from there.

I have seen some of the Tarte collection and I think they look amazing! I really want to get my hands on some of that. Also Mac do a great Holiday Collection so hopefully I can try some of those.

Today in the mail I recieved a Mecca catolgue which got me even more excited for the upcomming season.
The Nars limited edition Fashion Tech Gloss looks perfect for me you get 4 in the pack for $52.00
Another Nars gift set is the Laser cut cheek eye and lip set which gives you 3 eye shaddows, A blush and bronzer and a miniutre lipgloss for $79.00

Lastly from Nars is the Hi def lip colour pencils - you get 5 for $65.00

I have always wanted to try out the Mecca brand of skin care however it has been on the pricy side and have also bought cheaper but again they have created a great travel size pack with 7 travel size skincare products for $70.00 which has everything you need to trial out there skincare before buying the full size.

The most excited limited edition gift set of this year would be the Glam Glow gift set for $92.00 which comes with the full size Thirstymud hydrating treatment and smaller size of the supermud and youthmud.

Now by no means is this all of the gift sets available honestly this year Nars has got so many amazing gift sets that I believe are the perfect presents.

If the above ones are too expensive Bare Minerals have some great stocking stuffers. The first one is a lipgloss and mascara for $19.00 and the second 2 lipglosses for $26.00.

Hopefully that helps you for some great ideas. All in one shop!!!
 Happy shopping !!!

Victoria Secret Makeup Review

When people hear Victoria secret what springs to mind is not just their beautiful lingerie or hot ticket runway shows, it has become more of a revolution. The term bombshell or angel cannot be used without thinking of the decadent under apparel icon. Not only recognized for there under apparel, bathers or gym clothes but it has become so much more. Victoria secret isn't only the place all American girls go to buy there bras and panties but for some a one stop destination. Myself who has experience walking into 8 of their breathe taking stores knows that Victoria secret isn’t just about their lingerie but has transformed into so much more.

The runway shows are iconic, any social light, Musician, celebrity or fashion stylist is all wanting the front row tickets to the runway show of the year! The Runway shows for me are what make the VS name, after watching my first show in 2006 and seeing the candy land section and than to follow up with seal singing crazy, was where I knew instantly that this wasn’t another runway show, but a theatrical production that has grown and grown over the years. Ever since then I have been hocked! so walking into my first store in 2013 was an understatement to say I was excited!!!! My partner said I had never looked so happy to walk into a store before.

The word bombshell or angel is very popular now within the makeup and hair industry. I believe the most popular term would be there signature Victoria Secret curl. Many girls spend hours to create this look, and why not every girl wants their hair looking amazing when walking down the street or making an entrance into a party. I myself have strived to create this look! I believe what is hardest is getting that effortless/ I woke up with these curls look. For those wondering the best way I get my Victoria secret curls is to use hot rollers. I have actually had my hair done by a wonderful hairdresser who has worked for Victoria Secret and she gave me a few pointers :)
Now not only the long curly locks but let’s talk about the stunning Smokey eye! The makeup artist create this stunning, dramatic look without it looking to over the top and effortless chic. The term they use often is golden goddess which has come from there signature glowing tan and highlighting, another look that many girls try and achieve.
So the marketing team at VS where very smart. They basically packaged and made what they believe are the best tools to recreate this look. The very first time I purchased some of the very sexy makeup I instantly fell in love and it was on my hit list for my travels to America. Let’s just say I am obsessed and can’t say enough good things about this makeup brand. It is extremely affordable but luxurious as well.
My collection so far ......

Mua Haul

Recently I jumped onto Makeup Academy (MUA) website to check out some of there products and to see if there was anything I wanted to try. I had seen many amazing reviews on these products and I was dying to check them out.
As a fellow Australian I love watching some of my favourite YouTube ladies such as Lauren Curtis and Chloe Morello. Recently when watching Lauren I saw one of her older videos which was a Makeup haul, this was when I first heard about this brand. Lauren raved about the products so I was excited to purchase some items. My friend Vienna has also recently purchased some items from there and she couldn't say enough good things, so that was final, I had to purchase some for my own. Once I jumped on the website I was pleasantly surprised with the prices. Actually that would be an understatement as no other makeup in Australia was this cheap that came along with such amazing reviews. I ended up purchasing a few things and I believe it came up to just under $40.00.

I love the consistency of these, there are not sticky at all! There supposed to be plumping lip gloss but didn't find it had any effect. The best thing about them is that the colours are beautiful and not shear at all. The colours I got were Coral Couture and Hollywood

I can not rave enough about these lipsticks there great. The lipsticks are so pigmented the colour last forever. I got them in shades 4,7,12 and 13.

The Primers work great especially with my combination/ oily skin type. The only negative is the smell of the Pro-base! I cant stand it lol

As you would know by now I am a Concealer junkie! So of course I had to try them out immediately.
Both Concealers are in Shade Light.

I originally got this glitter eyeliner as I watched a recent video by Chloe Morello who used one to make her signature winged eyeliner more dramatic. I loved the hint of glitter without it being tacky!

I can not say enough good things about these lashes and for $1.90 who can complain. The only negative is the glue it comes with is very tacky and not easy to apply I would suggest to use another glue.

So there it is I hope you enjoyed this haul. If you are looking for a little guilt free shopping than definitely try this brand out!

Until next time

OOTD

Ok so I thought I would do a quick outfit of the day today! This is just a semi, casual outfit for a busy day of running around and seeing friends. The thing I love about this outfit is that it looks well put together and is a versatile outfit. It’s perfect to go to the shops in or I love that you can throw on a pair of heels and some more accessories and you immediately have a dressy night look. In spring and summer I love to wear bright pops of colour and beautiful bold prints. This colour is gorgeous I love the pink shade and the gold details of the buttons; it’s such a signature piece of my wardrobe.

Ring: Lovisa
Shirt: Forever New
Skirt: Kmart

Saturday Shopping

Naturally I am a sucker for beauty magazines and advertising, so when my weekly delivery of junk mail showed up to my house I was a very happy girl. My favourite department store here in Australia is Myers and I received their beauty mag with lots of new products and some things I have been eyeing off for quite some time now. I immediately called my girlfriend to arrange a shopping day on Saturday. Of course I was ecstatic about this soon to be shopping spree, but my bank account wasn’t. We spent most of Saturday walking through our fav shopping centre trying out and seeking for new products and new outfits to put together.
As many of you would have seen from my wish list post there were some things I had wanted to purchase and try, I was so happy that I got to get the Million by Paco Rabanne perfume I had wanted. I couldn’t stop thinking about it; it was truly love at first smell, lol.I was lucky I picked up some other bits and pieces, but my friend Pauline who came with me really got some amazing bargains. There are so many sales on here in Australia because its coming into the hotter months, many stores are getting rid of their winter stock to make room for all the spring and summer fashion, it was a perfect chance to pick up some sale items.

Lovisa had a 3 for $10.00 sale so I purchased 6 items all but 1 being rings and 1 necklace. I couldn’t believe the prices as some of these rings originally were $14.99 each I really could miss up this opportunity.

I have wanted a pair of these sunglasses ever since I saw Alex from HRH Collection wearing them. I opted out of spending $400.00 dollars on a pair of designer ones as I think this will be a fashion that goes quickly. So when I spotted them in Dotti (a clothing store here in Aus) I was delighted, especially because they suited my face well and were only $20.00!

Oh course I couldn’t go shopping without a trip into my favourite drug store Priceline! I didn’t purchase much here this time but I did buy a Australis Concealer that Pauline had suggested.

I did for once buy something other than accessories, I know shock and horror right! It wasn't much but I purchase this beautiful peplum top by Jag and a simple black dress from Miss Shop both from Myers.

Thanks for viewing my blog! I have heaps of new blogs ready to put up, which will be going up after Monday next week. This weekend I am going on a mini getaway with friends so check out my instagram and future blog posts for OOTD
