My Skin care routine 

Skin care is a very personal thing! It is also what I believe to be the most important step to having flawless makeup. Its amazing how much your skin can change from day to day or even year to year. Your skin can be impacted on what you eat, how much sun you get, wether you took your makeup off last night before bed, how much sleep you got and the most common one we know effects the skin the most, DRINKING WATER .

Knowing all of this I still struggle day to day avoiding/ completing some of these steps. I no I should drink more water but that is something I definitely struggle with, also getting enough vitamin D has been challenging. One thing I thought I was on top of was my skin car routine. UNTIL I went for a microdermabrasion and was shocked with what my beautician had to say. I have been unhappy with my skin for a long time so my girlfriends got the microdermabrasion package for my birthday and it was life changing. I have noticed the biggest difference since going. I have large pores that I have fort with for over 10 years now and thought I was doing he right steps to clean them out…. I was wrong! 

I went to EllaBache hear in Perth for my consolation, she studied my skin and the results she had found where mind blowing for me. The one I was shocked about the most was the amount of dead skin I had. This shocked me because i religiously use face masks and exfoliation treatments that I thought were helping my skin. The second was that I was very dry in some areas however very oily in others. I had always been told my skin was oily hence always being creams for oily skin. She did say its hard to treat my new found skin problems because its almost like I need to different moisturisers one for the dry and one of the oily. Third was that my skin was very rough this was a light bold moment for me I had always know this however didn’t know how to explain it. She hit the nail on the head with that one. 

Since going to 2 treatments my skin has changed. I have updated my products and have honestly noticed a massive difference. It is so simple my routine now and my skin feels so beautiful afterwards. I was telling my beautician that sometime I would do a mask and a cleanse and still feel bums and gunk on my face. This was because the products I was using were just cleaning the top layers of my skin and not penetrating down into my new skin. I was effectively just cleaning my dead skin. Let me just add my skin care wasn’t just drug store some of it I had invested in and cost me a lot of money. 

I now have a three step process without all this fuss and all creams no harsh beads ect and I could not be happier and have now referred friends there. 

One thing I have learnt is that ur skin is an organ it is constantly changing and we need to look after it.

Wow I have been planning this trip for months and cannot believe it is only days away! I am so excited to be going to Imats Sydney this year.  I am so excited to look at the exhibitors, buy makeup and meet other beauty insiders and bloggers. Like I said I have planned this holiday months ago so it doesn’t seem real that it is nearly here. I am going with  my boyfriend Nathan ( Nathan won’t be coming to Imats though, I couldn’t do that to him lol ) So we will be leaving on Thursday night and arriving around 8.00am on Friday morning. Imats is on Saturday and Sunday at this stage I have tickets for both but not sure if I’ll go both days but I do have tickets for both.

For anyone who doesn’t know Imats is a International makeup and trade show. Imats is hosted all over the world from Sydney, London, LA and New York. With amazing exhibitors of all the hottest brands of makeup and anything beauty related. Not only is the best makeup there but also the best Makeup artists and makeup professionals hence my excitement to go and meet some incredible people in the industry.

Makeup Madness !!

So much has been going on lately I have been neglecting my beloved Blog! However I am trying to be more regular. I have said this before but until you make Youtube videos you don’t understand how long it takes to prepare red ready, set up, film than edit than upload. Like one 15 minute video can take over 5 hours of planning and putting together. I don’t know how some people do daily uploads.

Anyways an update! I am still building my house which has taken a long time but since the slab went down it’s seem to be flying up! Nathan and I are so happy its finally coming together as he have picked out everything so long ago we have forgotten what we picked! Regardless it’s a very time consuming process, plus my Youtube channel plus working full time! I honestly can’t wait to put my beauty room together I have so many pieces of furniture ready to go to assemble. It’s so funny because I basically have all the furniture for my beauty room but yet don’t have a couch or dining table! See I have great priorities. I am so excited to do a room tour and film not sitting on the floor but actually at my vanity.

At the moment I am loving these lip products! 2 of them are affordable and one is on the pricier side. I have been loving my soft pinks and sheer nudes lately and feel they compliment my skin tone perfectly. I love how I have been reaching for these at the moment, when I am running out the door or needing that little something extra to finish my outfit.

 If you are in need of a new lippy than go try these out.

MUA - Makeup Academy Lipstick shade 12
This lipstick is not only very affordable and by affordable I mean $1.99!!!!!! but it is also incredibly creamy and luxurious. This certain one has a little bit of glitter throughout it but not all of them do however I really like the touch that the glitter gives as it is quite sheer. The smell of these are very nice without being overwhelming. It has a hint of vanilla without being over powering. This lipstick glides onto your lips with such ease and makes my lips feeling moisturised.


Maybelline Colour Whispers in Petal rebel 60
I no I no you are sick of me talking about these!!! But I honestly love them. I cant say enough good things about these lipsticks, they are my favourite of all time! These to also go onto the lips beautifully and leave this incredible colour.


Mac -Viva Glam Nicki
Wow is this colour ELECTRIC! I always get so many compliments when wearing this lipstick. I feel so confident when wearing this colour it makes me instantly happy! This lipstick is the satin finish however I do find it quite drying on the lips, so I would recommend a lip scrub and a lip balm before applying this lipstick. I really do love Mac lipsticks but I have an issue with the smell/ taste almost to the point that I am not sure if I can wear them without a gloss. with that said I do really enjoy the Mac lipsticks and find they're long wearing which is perfect for a night or all day event!

Victoria Secret Makeup Review

When people hear Victoria secret what springs to mind is not just their beautiful lingerie or hot ticket runway shows, it has become more of a revolution. The term bombshell or angel cannot be used without thinking of the decadent under apparel icon. Not only recognized for there under apparel, bathers or gym clothes but it has become so much more. Victoria secret isn't only the place all American girls go to buy there bras and panties but for some a one stop destination. Myself who has experience walking into 8 of their breathe taking stores knows that Victoria secret isn’t just about their lingerie but has transformed into so much more.

 

The runway shows are iconic, any social light, Musician, celebrity or fashion stylist is all wanting the front row tickets to the runway show of the year! The Runway shows for me are what make the VS name, after watching my first show in 2006 and seeing the candy land section and than to follow up with seal singing crazy, was where I knew instantly that this wasn’t another runway show, but a theatrical production that has grown and grown over the years. Ever since then I have been hocked! so walking into my first store in 2013 was an understatement to say I was excited!!!! My partner said I had never looked so happy to walk into a store before.

 

The word bombshell or angel is very popular now within the makeup and hair industry. I believe the most popular term would be there signature Victoria Secret curl. Many girls spend hours to create this look, and why not every girl wants their hair looking amazing when walking down the street or making an entrance into a party. I myself have strived to create this look! I believe what is hardest is getting that effortless/ I woke up with these curls look. For those wondering the best way I get my Victoria secret curls is to use hot rollers. I have actually had my hair done by a wonderful hairdresser who has worked for Victoria Secret and she gave me a few pointers :)

Now not only the long curly locks but let’s talk about the stunning Smokey eye! The makeup artist create this stunning, dramatic look without it looking to over the top and effortless chic. The term they use often is golden goddess which has come from there signature glowing tan and highlighting, another look that many girls try and achieve.

 So the marketing team at VS where very smart. They basically packaged and made what they believe are the best tools to recreate this look. The very first time I purchased some of the very sexy makeup I instantly fell in love and it was on my hit list for my travels to America. Let’s just say I am obsessed and can’t say enough good things about this makeup brand. It is extremely affordable but luxurious as well.

Lip srcubs

Hi everyone so I have just posted a video on my Youtube Channel for DIY edible Lip Scrubs! These are not only for your lips but you can use this all over your body to get rid of any rough or cracked skin. I have noticed since using it how much longer my fake tan stays on for  but surprisingly how much longer my lipsticks stay on! I don't think I noticed how dry my lips where until I started wearing darker shades of lipsticks, now that I am wearing reds and darker pinks my lip scrub is a staple before applying.

Lipsticks

One beauty product that was not always my favourite were lipstick and lip gloss! I know right it completes the makeup look and yet it wouldn’t be a staple, when applying my daily routine to my skin. It’s funny because I wouldn’t think twice about applying bronzer or blush but with lipstick I used to never really wear it until NOW! I have a new passion and love for wearing lipsticks and finishing off the look properly. I have also now come across Lip liners which I am now ashamed to say that I thought they were for older women but now I find myself grabbing for one everyday even with a clear gloss, and wow what an improvement. Its funny how one little step can finish complete the look why hadn’t I done this sooner? So I asked myself that questions, I thought about it and then it came to me maybe it’s because I just hadn’t found the right combination and consistency.  Everyone would now be sick of my going on about my new found loves the Maybelline Colour Whispers which are my holy grail of the year, but I have also got a new love for MAC lipsticks. The one thing I do not like about these are the smell and taste but the way these lipsticks apply and last make them the perfect lipstick for me.

One other lip products I have loved are the lip stains. Another reason why I believe I never wore much gloss and lipsticks were because I felt like every 30 minutes I needed to reapply. This is why I am loving the Loreal and Revlon ones there incredible definitely go check them out.

 

 

Go out and try some of these lipsticks! My advice suss out what you like and what works for you, once you have found it buy every colour ;)

Christmas Prezzie's

 

 

Hello, I hope everyone had a happy, safe Christmas. My Christmas this year was jammed pack. Nathan and I left at 7.30am and didn't get home to 10.30 pm 4 Christmas in one day!!!! So was very tired on boxing day. As always i received some amazing gifts from family and friends! Cant wait to try some out. I have taken photos of everything as i love seeing photos over lots of rambling Lol.





I was very excited as i purchased my first clear cude, kardashian makeup box or clear acrylic cube whichever you call it from the Makeup Box Shop I love my cube but was a little disappointed at the size!! In the photo it looked huge but when i received it in the mail i was small. The price was $142.00 i thin with free postage. I also got a mirrored tray to store perfumes in but when i saw the size it was huge lol i cant win so now it will be more of a coffee table centre piece i think.





I received some amazing things from Chi Chi that Nathan bought me. Nail Polishes, bath salts, bronzing dust and finally a Hard drive. Swear I am the only person who doesn't have one!!!

My lovely friend Pauline spoilt me with some Lush goodies which I am so excited to try out!. And some jewellery from Colette which would have to be one of my most fav shops at the moment.

Nathan and i got lots of $$$$$ for our travels to America. And we also got lots of gift vouchers for Myers to shop in preparation for America.

Nearly Christmas

Yay its nearly Christmas, 6 sleeps to go!!! So happy i have finished all of my shopping. there wrapped and waiting under my tree. My best friend and I always do a gift for each other to which we have opened already! This year we decided to do a $30.00 gift for each other and iam  so happy with what she got me. I recieved a pack of Lush products which is really exciting as we didnt have a Lush store near us until recently. I have always wanted to try Lush products but thought they were too expensive. After using these products i was amazed at the quality. So if your in need of any last minute gifts or wanting to splurge on some bath products than i would suggest you go out and try them.
