Lets Talk Hair Extensions!

Hi everyone, Yes I am back! I can not wait to re launch Style Couture Beauty with you all soon. I have some exciting things coming your way so please stay tuned, not only on here but on my Youtube channel and on my Instagram. But enough about that onto todays topic.....

Hair extensions!

For a self anounced "girly girly" you would assume this would be a staple in my beauty room! But infact until this past weekend I have never used/ owned hair extensions before, so you can guess my excitment when I got the opportunity to work with an amazing company and try them out for myself.
I was kindly sent some hair extensions by Irresitable Me! This was such an exciting process. I jumped on there website and imediantly starting researching the different types, lenths and colours. I know this may seem like basic information for all my fellow hair extension wearing ladies but for me I was so suprised at the sellection process. I watched a colour selecting video which made the process really easy. I am so happy with the colour I picked which was Chocolate Brown to say it is an exact match would be an understatment. The length( 24 inches) and weight were also beyond perfect. When curling my hair last night I found it hard to distinguish what was my hair and what was the hair extension. In my mind I always thought hair extension would be wirey and not natural looking however these Iresitable Me extensions blended perfectly with my hair I could defintily feel the quality of this product. As I am a newby to hair extension I was a little scared about putting them in and also styling them, however when sitting down on saturday night to do my hair it was suprisigly easy. When using my favourite curling iron, the curl turned out exactly how it would in my natural hair and infact the curl stayed in longer.

If you are looking at getting some hair extensions I would highly recommend checking out Irresistible Me Hair extensions - www.irresistableme.com or check out there Instagram Page irresistableme_hair

Electric Blue!!

Electric Blue, not an eye Shadow colour I normally lean towards but for my outfit on Saturday night I thought it was the perfect way to spice up my Little Black Dress (LBD). As you know I would normally team this with a smokey eye or my signature Emerald green look, but for this occasion I thought I would try something different. My outfit for Saturday night was a very simple black dress, this is why I wanted to go dramatic with my hair and makeup.

The following products were used to create this look
Bh Cosmetics 88 Shadow palette
Maybelline Colour Tattoo- in Electric blue
Napoleon Perdis loose dust in - Blue number 29
NYX- Frosted Ocean
Wet n Wild Coloricon in - Blue
Mac paint pot- Black
MUA- Lashes

And these products where just for the eyes. This look took me around 45 minutes but was well worth the effort. One tip I would suggest when doing a dramatic eye like this is to start with the eyes first, just in case there is any fallout. I also tapped sticky tape under my eye, to help remove the glitter and eyeshadow fallout. This also helps make a perfect line from the end of my lashes to the end of my brow.
For my hair I used good old fashion Hot Rollers. For me this is the best way to get big, bouncy, Victoria Secret Curls. To create the extra volume I teased my hair before putting in the rollers. I have found by completing this step first it doesn't wreck the curls afterwards.

I hope you have enjoyed this post

Curls Pictorial

I thought this would be a good way to show everyone how I curl my hair. I am however very lucky to naturally have very curly hair but when I go out or have an event on I want to do something with my hair and not just leave it natural. I have three to four different ways to curl my hair but going to show you 3 ways in the pictorial.

The three tools I normally go to for my curls are

GHD Straighter

Hot rollers

Curling Wand
In the pictorial below you will see what I use and how I do each curl the best way that works for me.

So to get the above curl I use my Remington Curling Wand That I got from Priceline. This is my favourite way at the moment to curl my hair. I call this my mermaid curl.

My second tool I love to use are my Hot rollers. I absolutely love love love the curl that this gives. No matter how hard I try I can never get the volume/ bounce that I can get with these. This curl I love because it’s dressy and is perfect for up do’s. It’s a little old school but it works!

This curl is called my Victoria Secret Curl.

My Third and final Hair tool I like to use is my GHD Hair straightener.  I have only just perfected this way of curling, as for my sometimes it looks great and sometime not! Therefore I cannot rely on it for an event or special occasion, but when it works I love it.
This curl is called my effortless curl, For everyday glamour.

I received a comment from Chi Chi saying I should enter this photo into a competition, anyways I did and I won along with some other winners. Not sure what ill win I believe they will send some make up for me to try out! Really excited J  if I do get sent some goodies ill make sure I do a haul.
